MOUNT WILSON BIDCYCLE ASSOCIATION BREAKFAST

R. Cunningham

The Mount Wilson Bicycle Association is one of the country’s most prominent trail advocacy groups. This year, however, it is holding its annual pancake breakfast fund-raiser. However, this years event is a call for all downhill and freeriders to come together in solidarity with the trail riders of the area.

All groups are welcome, including downhillers and freeriders. Jordan Hurder, Pasadena Cyclery’s organizer. We want to show the forest service and other trail users that we are all committed to caring for the land on which we ride. ?

Henniger Flats Campground will host the April 10th feast. It is located three miles up Mount Wilson Toll Road?an abandoned dirt track and popular multi-use trail which runs from Alta Dena near Pasadena to Mount Wilson’s summit. This road rises almost 1,524.0m above sea level.

The hill can be walked up or ridden up in 15 minutes. The pancake breakfast has been a tradition. Bring your old, vintage, or rusty mountain bike. It will be the best meal of the year. If you are a modern-day citizen, new bikes are allowed.

A small donation will be required. The Mount Wilson Raffle will also be held, which ensures that almost everyone who stays around will return home with a Camelbak prize.

Foes Fabrication has committed to sponsor the event and will raffle off a very special prize. You won’t be disappointed.

Brent Foes is the founder of the company and has been riding in the area’s mountains for nearly two decades. Foes joined the cause in order to unify mountain bikers around the area, especially the downhill community that recently lost their best riding areas at Big Bears Snow Summit Ski Area. Gravity riders will be more prevalent on the trails this summer as there are no downhill lifts.

Let’s have breakfast together. Bring your pancakes, help maintain the trails at San Gabriel Mountain and keep them open for biking. Your presence and money will make a big difference. Proceeds will be donated to Mount Wilson Bicycle Association, and?Save The Trails.
